Writing Style

Research papers need to conform to writing styles prescribed by the institute, journal or academic publisher. The purpose of a writing style is to enable the researcher to present the thesis clearly in an unbiased manner. There are various writing styles; the popular ones are APA, MLA, Harvard etc. Each writing style has its own manual which describes in detail several guidelines pertaining to citation, bibliography, structure and format, tables, graphs and charts, language, grammar etc. Inputs from industry, academic, language and communication experts are used for developing the manuals and these are updated from time to time.
